BOTOX Injections

Neuromodulators are a family of proteins that block the neural signal to muscles, thereby reducing wrinkles, sweating, and reducing pain. The most commonly known neuromodulator is Botox. Other neuromodulators on the market include Dysport, Daxxify, Juveau and Xeomin. All neuromodulators essentially work the same way by blocking neural signaling to muscles, causing relaxation of muscles. The differences are in the actual molecule which is why they are unique products. Results are similar across these products and differences are small. Each person may respond a little differently to each product and our dermatologists can help determine which product is best for you.

Botox and other neuromodulator injections are commonly used in facial areas such as the brow, forehead, around the eyes, lips, chin and neck. It also can be used for severe armpit perspiration, relief of migraine headaches and ocular muscle spasms. Results typically last 3-6 months. Treatment is customized to improve your skin’s appearance so that it appears natural and refreshed.
