Brown Spots

Brown spots from sun exposure, also known as sun spots or solar lentigines, develop when ultraviolet light stimulates excess pigment production in the skin. They commonly appear on sun-exposed areas such as the face, hands, chest, and arms and tend to increase with age and cumulative sun exposure. The goal of treatment is to decrease pigmentation and promote a more even skin tone.

Some are flat and have no perceivable texture and can be treated with skin care products, photofacials, Moxi laser, CO2 laser, or pulse dye laser. Some are raised and wart-like. These can be treated with liquid nitrogen.
